Collection Statement

During COVID quarantine, the walls around me felt like a mirror, reflecting not just the world’s turmoil but also my inner conflicts. As the days stretched on, I found myself in an ongoing dialogue with my own fears of illness, of death, and of unresolved parts of my past that resurfaced with a new intensity. It was a time to confront the shadows of my mind, to wrestle with the realities of what it means to be truly alone with oneself. The silence and isolation magnified these emotions, turning them into a constant undercurrent that I could not escape. Drawing became my way of giving form to these intangible feelings. It was less about creating art and more about survival. An urgent need to externalise the chaos inside me. Each line and mark represents a step in this personal journey, a process of both unraveling and understanding the complex emotions that surfaced. This collection goes beyond my own experience; it captures common human feelings like fear of the unknown, unresolved pain, and the search for calm in chaos. By sharing my work, I hope to create a sense of connection and remind us that we are not alone in our hardest times.
